School Transport

Richard Taylor Travel understand the importance of safe and reliable school transport. Our dedicated school bus services offer students a safe and timely way to get to and from school. We currently provide transport to John Henry Newman School. Our routes travel from Hitchin and surrounding villages.

Safety is our number one consideration so we make it our mission to keep our buses well-maintained, and our drivers trained to the highest possible standards to guarantee the safety of all passengers on board.

We also offer Private Hire Services so if you have a school trip,swimming shedule etc. please contact us do discuss your requirements.

Safety & Maintenance

  • Fully trained and compliant drivers

    All our drivers are fully CPC Trained, DBS Checked by a governing body & carry Full PCV/PSV Licences which are checked every 6 months.

  • DVSA Green Operator

    We pride ourselves on the high level of maintenance of all our vehicles and are proud to be a Low-Risk Green Operator, given by the DVSA with their “Operator Compliance Risk Score”.

    DVSA use the Operator Compliance Risk Score (OCRS ) system to decide which vehicles should be inspected. OCRS is used to calculate the risk of an operator not following the rules on roadworthiness (the condition of its vehicles) and traffic, for example drivers' hours or weighing checks.

  • Servicing, Inspections & MOT’s

    The Health & Safety of our customer & employees is our number one priority. All our vehicles are MOT’d, Taxed, Routinely Serviced & Inspected to VOSA and PSV standards and the requirement of the law.
    Vehicles are subjected to a regular eight-week inspection schedule by Reputable Dealerships.

  • Insurances

    Richard Taylor Travel & Partners hold a Public Liability insurance for £5 million and all vehicles are covered by a trade recognised insurance company.

  • Vehicle Tracking & Breakdown

    All vehicles are tracked, among the benefits of using a vehicle tracking system we can find improved safety of employees and fleet, better service for customers, improved time and employee management as well as administration and theft prevention.

    We are also covered by a 24-Hour breakdown call out service and a 24-hour duty manager emergency contact service.
