Royal Air Force Museum London – Day Trip by Coach
Take to the skies without leaving the ground on a fascinating day out at the Royal Air Force Museum London, one of the UK’s leading aviation museums and home to an extraordinary collection of aircraft, exhibits and stories spanning more than a century of flight.
Travel in comfort with Richard Taylor Travel and enjoy a full day to explore this impressive museum at your own pace. Located on the historic Hendon aerodrome site in North London, the museum brings the story of the Royal Air Force to life, from the pioneering days of early aviation through two World Wars and the Jet Age to the modern RAF of today.
Across the museum’s extensive hangars and exhibitions, you’ll discover an incredible collection of aircraft displayed up close. See legendary machines associated with some of the most important moments in British aviation history, alongside helicopters, jet aircraft, training aircraft and fascinating artefacts telling the stories of the people who flew, maintained and supported them.
One of the highlights is the chance to explore the story of the Battle of Britain, discovering more about the aircraft, aircrew and
ground personnel who played their part in one of the defining periods of the Second World War. Elsewhere, exhibitions explore the development of aviation technology, the changing role of the RAF and the experiences of those who have served throughout its history.
The museum is not just for dedicated aviation enthusiasts. Interactive displays, family-friendly exhibitions and the sheer scale of the aircraft make this an enjoyable and engaging destination for visitors of all ages. There are also cafés and a museum shop, giving you plenty of opportunity to stop for refreshments or pick up a souvenir during your visit.
With your coach journey taken care of, there’s no need to worry about driving into London, navigating public transport or finding somewhere to park. Simply board at your chosen local pick-up point, sit back and relax as we take you directly to the museum for your day out.
