Not knowing where you're going is all part of the fun, but we know you might still have a few questions. Here are some of the things you may want to know before booking your Mystery Adventure.

When will I find out where we're going?

That's part of the mystery! We intend to keep your destination secret for as long as possible. You'll receive all the essential information you need for travelling, but the destination itself will remain under wraps until your Mystery Adventure.

What happens if I've already visited the destination?

That's always possible with a Mystery Trip. We've chosen the concept because sometimes returning somewhere without having planned the destination can be just as enjoyable as discovering somewhere completely new. The mystery is about the experience of not knowing where the day will take you.

What should I wear or bring with me?

We recommend comfortable clothing and footwear suitable for a day out, along with anything you would normally bring on one of our coach trips. If a particular Mystery Adventure requires anything specific, we'll make sure you receive the relevant information before travelling.

Will there be lots of walking?

The amount of walking will depend on the individual destination and how you choose to spend your day. Where there is important accessibility or mobility information that customers need to know in advance, we will provide this before travel.

Can I book if I have mobility or accessibility requirements?

Please speak to the Richard Taylor Travel team before booking if you have particular accessibility or mobility requirements. Because the destination is deliberately being kept secret, we can discuss your requirements with you and help you understand whether the particular trip is likely to be suitable without unnecessarily revealing the destination.

How long will the journey be?

Journey times will vary between Mystery Adventures and may also be affected by traffic and other circumstances on the day. These are designed as enjoyable Richard Taylor Travel day trips, so each destination will be planned with the overall day and travelling time in mind.

Will I have free time at the destination?

The exact format may vary depending on the Mystery Adventure. Where appropriate, you'll have time to explore and enjoy the destination at your own pace. Any important arrangements for the day will be explained by the Richard Taylor Travel team.

Are attractions or admission included?

What's included will be clearly stated on the individual Mystery Trip product page. Unless specifically stated otherwise, customers should not assume that additional attractions, meals or optional activities are included in the ticket price.

Can I book more than one Mystery Trip?

Absolutely. There are four Mystery Adventures planned for 2027, and you're welcome to join us for as many as you like. You could choose your favourite date — or take on our 2027 Mystery Challenge and experience all four.

Can I ask the team for a clue?

You can always try! But don't expect us to give the game away. Keeping the destination secret is what makes a Mystery Adventure a Mystery Adventure.
