In fact, Twycross is the only zoo in the UK where you can see bonobos, one of our closest living relatives.

Look out for Sumatran tigers, snow leopards and Amur leopards, encounter the impressive Eastern black rhinos and see towering giraffes, zebras, penguins, meerkats, lemurs, reptiles and many more fascinating species.

For younger adventurers, a visit to The Gruffalo Discovery Land is a must!
Step into the much-loved world inspired by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler's famous story and discover real-life animals along the way. It's a wonderful addition for families and helps make Twycross much more than a traditional zoo visit.
There's even more opportunity for younger visitors to burn off some energy, with indoor and outdoor play areas and seasonal family attractions around the zoo.

You'll have plenty of time to make the day your own. Follow the paths around the zoo, revisit your favourite animals, catch one of the day's talks or simply stop and enjoy a relaxing break.
Food and refreshments are available at various locations, with choices ranging from drinks and snacks to meals and family favourites. There are also shops where you can browse for souvenirs before returning to the coach.
