Begin with a Two-Course Lunch
Our afternoon begins at The Waterside Inn in Ware, where you'll sit down and enjoy a two-course lunch in comfortable surroundings.
It's the perfect opportunity to relax, enjoy your meal and spend time with fellow travellers before the second part of our day begins.
Once lunch is finished, there's no need to travel anywhere else. We'll make our way directly through the restaurant's private garden terrace, where our boat will be waiting for us.
Step aboard, find your seat and settle in for a delightful afternoon on the water.
Cruise Through Historic Ware
Our cruise lasts approximately two and a half hours, taking us through Ware and out into the beautiful surrounding countryside.
One of the first sights to look out for is Ware's famous collection of historic riverside gazebos. These charming structures overhang the water's edge and are a distinctive feature of the town, providing a wonderful glimpse into Ware's riverside heritage.
As we continue, the scenery changes as we cruise through the town centre before leaving the more urban surroundings behind.
Into the Beautiful Lee Valley
The journey then takes us towards the peaceful landscapes of the Lee Valley and Amwell Nature Reserve.
Sit back and enjoy the changing views as we travel through this attractive stretch of waterway, where green riverbanks and open
countryside provide a relaxing contrast to the town.
With no rushing around and plenty to see from the comfort of the boat, this is a lovely opportunity to unwind and enjoy Hertfordshire from an entirely different perspective.
At the end of our cruise, we'll return to Ware Town Quay, where we'll rejoin our Richard Taylor Travel coach for the comfortable journey home.
