With plenty of free time to explore at your own pace, you can create the perfect day out to suit your interests.

History is woven into every corner of Leicester. Wander through the historic Cathedral Quarter and admire the beautiful Leicester Cathedral, the final resting place of King Richard III. Visit the acclaimed King Richard III Visitor Centre to discover the remarkable story behind the discovery of the king's remains beneath a city centre car park, or explore the medieval Guildhall and the impressive Jewry Wall, one of Britain's largest surviving Roman structures.

For those interested in culture, Leicester boasts an excellent selection of museums, galleries and historic buildings. The vibrant cultural Quarter is home to independent galleries, creative spaces, theatres and colourful street art, making it a wonderful place to explore on foot.

Shopping enthusiasts will be equally impressed. Browse the popular Highcross Shopping Centre, packed with well-known high street brands, or discover something unique among the independent boutiques and artisan businesses around St Martin's square and The Lanes. Leicester Market, one of Europe's oldest and largest outdoor covered markets, is a fantastic place to browse local produce, gifts, fashion and speciality goods.

Leicester has also earned a well-deserved reputation as one of Britain's finest food destinations. From cosy cafés and traditional pubs to stylish bistros and award-winning international restaurants, the city offers an incredible choice of places to enjoy lunch or a relaxing afternoon refreshment. Its famous Golden Mile is renowned for authentic Indian cuisine and vibrant multicultural flavours, while the city centre is home to restaurants serving dishes from around the world.

If you prefer a quieter pace, enjoy a stroll through the attractive streets, relax in one of Leicester's green spaces or simply soak up the welcoming atmosphere of this lively and diverse city.

Travelling by executive coach means you can leave the driving, traffic and parking behind, allowing you to enjoy a relaxing journey and make the most of your day in Leicester.
